Students showcase talent at cultural fest

AMRITSAR: The Amritsar College of Engineering and Technology (ACET) organised an inter-college technical and cultural fest Prayaas – 2018 on Friday.

The Amritsar College of Engineering and Technology (ACET) organised an inter-college technical and cultural fest Prayaas – 2018 on Friday. About 2,000 students of different engineering and polytechnic colleges from in and around the city participated in the event. The festival comprised of various technical events, creative competitions and talent-oriented cultural performances.

The fest commenced with events, such as group discussions, debate, mini-hackathon 2018, software presentation, brain buster, collage making, theme rangoli, bhangra, giddha, skit and many more. The cultural events were held at the college auditorium.

Amit Sharma, chairman and CEO, Amritsar College of Engineering and Technology, and finance director Ragini Sharma congratulated the participants and winners of various events. Giving a brief introduction about the ACET and Prayaas, Principal Dr VK Banga said, “Such events encourage the technical, managerial and legal instincts of young minds and provide them a platform to showcase their talent and leadership skills.”
