DC holds meeting on Maghi Mela preparations

MUKTSAR: For the coming Maghi Mela in January next year, the district administration on Monday held a meeting for its preparations at the District Administrative Complex (DAC) in Muktsar.

For the coming Maghi Mela in January next year, the district administration on Monday held a meeting for its preparations at the District Administrative Complex (DAC) in Muktsar.

MK Aravind Kumar, Deputy Commissioner, Muktsar, informed that the historic town would be divided into seven sectors. Each sector would be supervised by a sector officer and a duty magistrate.

The DC directed officials of the Health Department to constitute medical teams and make ready at least three ambulances. Besides, he asked them to take food samples from the town to keep a check on spurious items.

He directed the officials of other departments concerned to maintain cleanliness in the town, repair roads and make streetlights functional. — TNS
