BATHINDA: A fire broke out in a cabin on the first floor of AVC Nisan showroom near Jassi Paun Wali village on Monday morning. Furniture, cabin, air-conditioners, electronic materials and some documents were gutted.

The fire was controlled after an hour. The reason behind the fire is yet to be ascertained. TNS

Boy reunited with parents 

Bathinda: A 13-year-old boy, who reached the Bathinda bus stand on Sunday night by mistake, was reunited with his Patiala-based parents by the Bathinda police. Gyneshwar Kumar, in charge of the Court Complex police post, said the boy met the PCR-3 team in front of the bus stand. The boy is a student of Class VIII and studies in Kurukshetra. On Sunday night, he left Kurukshetra as he was not being able to concentrate on his studies. TNS

Three held with illicit liquor

Bathinda: The police arrested three persons with illicit liquor from two places on Monday. The police arrested Bhupinder Singh and Amrik Singh, both residents of Baliaanwali village, with 15 boxes. The Baliaanwali police arrested Kuldeep Singh, with 84 of bottles of illicit liquor. TNS
