BATHINDA: A total of nine advocates are in the fray for the elections to four posts of the District Bar Association.

A total of nine advocates are in the fray for the elections to four posts of the District Bar Association.

Advocate Sahil Kumar Thakur has been elected unopposed as treasurer. The voting for the election will be held on April 5.

Divulging details, Returning Officer Sukhdarshan Kumar Sharma said Wednesday was the last day for filing nomination papers and now, Kanwaljit Singh Sidhu and Rohit Rumana are in the fray for the post of president.

For the post of secretary, Hanish Bansal, Jagmeet Singh and Sukhmander Singh have filed papers.

For the post of joint secretary, Kuldeep Singh Jeeda and Lovedeep Singh are in the fray.

Manjinder Singh Brar and Sushant Sharma are contesting the elections for the post of vice-president.
