Bathinda, August 20

MGNREGA workers of Balluana tehsil here have lodged a complaint with the Deputy Commissioner B Srinivasan against a Junior Engineer of the District Development and Panchayat Office (DDPO) over not paying them full wages.

In the complaint, they alleged that they were working under MGREGA at Balluana tehsil in the district and they accused a JE-rank official of not marking their proper attendance.

They alleged that he cut their attendance without any reason and this had been happening for the last six months, resulting in a loss of their wages. They claimed that their per-day wages were Rs 241, but they were being paid Rs 205 per day, causing a financial loss to them.
