Bathinda, February 5

A day after the Assembly election, it’s time for political leaders and candidates to sit back and relax after a long and exhausting campaigning spree.

Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Singh Badal today reached the city and headed for Fun Cinemas at Mittal Mall to watch Shahrukh Khan starrer ‘Raees’.

He reached at 4 pm and came out of the movie hall at 7 pm. He was accompanied by SAD leaders Sikander Singh Maluka and Jagdeep Singh Nakai.

SAD candidate from Bathinda (Urban) Sarup Chand Singla today enjoyed the day relaxing at his residence.

He kept sitting calm and quite in his garden. Singla watered plants and read books.

He claimed that he was confident of his victory. Singla said the high turnout in the district was a clear indication that people had voted for development undertaken by the SAD-BJP government in the last 10 years.

Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) candidate Deepak Bansal also enjoyed his day by relaxing at his friend’s place.

Deepak Bansal claimed the good voting percentage in the state was an indication of AAP forming the government.

He claimed that AAP would get around 75 seats in the state.

Congress candidate Manpreet Badal didn’t stay back at his home. He visited his campaign office in Bathinda and met party workers to assess the ground situation during polling.

He also thanked the party workers for working hard for so many days.
