To mark the World Water Day, Jal Sarankshan District will organise an awareness rally on March 22 to save water. The rally would be organised under the guidance of former MP Avinash Rai Khanna.

Former District BJP President, Dr Subash Verma, who is district head of the association, said the rally would start from Clock Tower Chowk to Division number 3. The students from various colleges and members of city-based NGOs would attend the rally to create awareness on save water.

While addressing the media persons on Tuesday, the organisers appealed to the people to celebrate Holi by saving water.

Verma said the people should prefer to play Holi with organic colours. “The ground water level is going down while rivers are getting polluted. We all should make efforts to save water. We should make efforts to keep our environment clean,” he added.
