Bathinda, April 20

Aman Arora, AAP MLA and party’s chief for Lok Sabha poll campaign committee, exhorted workers to mobilise support for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.

Addressing a press conference here on Saturday, Arora said SAD-BJP was undecided on its candidate from Bathinda constituency and Congress had delayed its announcement as both the parties had failed to deliver on their promises. AAP candidate from Bathinda constituency for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, Professor Baljinder Kaur, was also present on the occasion.

Arora exhorted the party workers to leverage all out support to Baljinder Kaur and make her win the elections. After the elections, AAP would act tough against the two MLAs who were siding with rebel Sukhpal Khaira group, he said.

“While on one hand SAD had been cornered in sacrilege incidents, people have lost faith in the Congress government after it failed to deliver on its promises of Ghar Ghar Rozgaar, farm loan waivers, employment to youth, smart phones and pension and shagun scheme. Now, fearing people’s wrath, the SAD was dragging its heels to announce its candidates while the Congress had delayed it,” he stated.

Arora said “AAP convener and Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal will start addressing rallies in the state after May 12. Unlike Congress and SAD-BJP, who contest elections on monetary support, our party contests elections on the support base of our workers. If the BJP in Centre and Congress government in the state have delivered on their promises, then people must vote for them. Our party has worked for development and corruption-free governance in Delhi. Party MP Bhagwant Mann has raised pertinent issues concerning people of the state in Parliament. If we manage to win, then we will not only resolve problems which are state specific but also which are region or area specific,” he added.
