Sukhveer, Charanjit walk away with top honours

BATHINDA: The Mastermind College of Education organised its annual athletics meet on the campus today. NK Gosian, principal, Malwa College, was the chief guest on the occasion. He inaugurated the meet and highlighted the importance of sports in the life a person.

The Mastermind College of Education organised its annual athletics meet on the campus today.

NK Gosian, principal, Malwa College, was the chief guest on the occasion. He inaugurated the meet and highlighted the importance of sports in the life a person.

He also encouraged college students to take part in sports and explained them how to move ahead with success and failure in the life.

Officiating in-charge Gagan Sehgal, in his address, highlighted the achievements of the college in academics, sports and cultural activities. He appealed to the students to take part in various activities being organised in the college.

Charanjit Kaur was adjudged best athlete in the women’s category and Sukhveer Singh in the men’s category. Sri Guru Rabindernath Tagore House won the top position in tug of war.

Men’s category

Sukhveer Singh won the 400 m race while Hardeep Singh stood second and Vishal finished third. Sukhveer Singh won the sack race while Anmoldeep Singh finished second and Hardeep Singh stood third. Kulwinder Singh got the first position in discus throw while Pawan bagged the second position and Jagdish Singh stood third.

Women’s category

Charanjit Kaur won the 400m race while Manpreet Kaur was the first runner-up and Prabhjot Kaur was the second runner-up.

Dalwinder Singh won the first position in discus throw while Amandeep Kaur stood second and Harpreet Kaur got the third position.
