Unidentified persons booked for sacrilege act

BATHINDA: In yet another act of sacrilege, the police have registered a case against unidentified persons at the Sadar Rampura police station.

In yet another act of sacrilege, the police have registered a case against unidentified persons at the Sadar Rampura police station.

This is the third incident of act of sacrilege wherein a ripped pious Sikh religious scripture has been found.

In his complaint to the police, Parminder Singh, president of Gurudwara Sahib Shri Guru Harkrishan Sahib, Jethuke, said on Saturday he noticed parts of Sukhmani Sahib lying beside an old well in the house.

He said this act was done to create differences among the people.

Investigating Officer (IO) Gurpal Singh said a case under Section 295-A of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) had been registered in this connection at Sadar Rampura Police Station and further investigation was on.
