20 students from Playways School shine

PATIALA:Nancy of Playways Senior Secondary School stood third by securing 98.31 per cent marks in the sports category in the Class X results of the Punjab School Education Board (PSEB), which were declared on Monday.

Nancy of Playways Senior Secondary School stood third by securing 98.31 per cent marks in the sports category in the Class X results of the Punjab School Education Board (PSEB), which were declared on Monday.

From the merit list of total 52 students from the district, as many as 20 were from her school. After Nancy, Diya Soni and Deepika Malhotra, both from Playways School, jointly bagged the second position with 97.85 per cent marks. Both secured seventh rank across the state by getting 636 marks out of the total of 650.

The third position from the district was bagged by Sanjana of Arya Kanya Senior Secondary School and Aman from Playways School by securing 97.54 per cent (634) marks in the exams.

Nancy, who scored 639 marks out of 650 in sports category, said her school had done a lot for her and she dedicated the success to her parents and teachers. She is a Taekwondo player and had also clinched a silver medal in Punjab school games.

“My aim is to clear civil services exam and serve the nation,” Nancy said. Nancy’s father is an electrician and her mother is giving private tuitions to students.
