215 units of blood collected at camp

CHANDIGARH:The Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) in collaboration with Yadav Lok Kalyan Sabha Chandigarh, a social body, organised a blood donation camp at the CRPF Transit Camp in Sector 43 to mark the Nation Youth Day and upcoming Republic Day.

Chandigarh, January 20 

The Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) in collaboration with Yadav Lok Kalyan Sabha Chandigarh, a social body, organised  a blood donation camp at the CRPF Transit Camp in Sector 43 to mark the Nation Youth Day and upcoming Republic Day. 

Municipal Commissioner KK Yadav was the chief guest at the camp. Commandant Balihar Singh was also present on the occasion. Director (Tourism) Jitender Yadav also visited the camp. 

 In all, 215 units of blood was collected at the camp. Around 600 people, including the CRPF personnel, common public and city-based politicians donated blood at the camp. This was the fourth blood donation camp organised by the CRPF. 

The coordinator of teams of doctors from the PGI, GMCH, Sector 32 and GMSH, Sector 16, Kripa Sandhu Yadav, said, “Collected blood will be given to the military and paramilitary forces personnel.” 

Blood donors were given gifts to motivate them. Refreshment was also provided at the camp.
