DERA BASSI: A 34-year-old man, working at the Computer Care, a trading firm at the Jawaharpur village, Dera Bassi, died of electrocution on Saturday morning.

A 34-year-old man, working at the Computer Care, a trading firm at the Jawaharpur village, Dera Bassi, died of electrocution on Saturday morning.

The deceased has been identified as Jone Singh, a resident of Devinagar village, Dera Bassi.

Baljinder Singh, Investigation Officer said the incident happened on Saturday morning when the victim was helping a driver reverse a vehicle which came to deliver the goods.

IO added that while reversing the vehicle, the driver did not noticed overhead live wires which were hanging low and parked his vehicle. The wires broke and fell on the ground and Jone Singh came in a contact of live wires.

The police have registered a case under relevant section of the IPC against the driver Sonu Kumar and arrested him. Meanwhile, the autopsy of the deceased was conducted at the Civil Hospital, Dera Bassi. The body will be handed to the family members on Sunday.
