A newborn baby girl was found in a washroom of a building at Kajheri this morning. The premature baby was seen by local residents, who informed the police.
Sources said the baby was found in the common washroom, used by all tenants residing in the building. “The building has several single rooms, which have been rented out and the washrooms are common. Someone came and abandoned the baby in one of the washrooms,” said a police official. A police team reached the spot after which the baby was rushed to the GMCH, Sector 32, where she is under observation. A case has been registered at the Sector 36 police station. —TNS
