DA of UT staff hiked by 3%

Chandigarh, April 19

The UT Administration on Thursday increased the dearness allowance (DA) of the UT employees/pensioners by 3 per cent. A notification in this regard was issued after approval from UT Administrator VP Singh Badnore.

The DA has been increased from 139 per cent to 142 per cent, an increase of 3 per cent, with effect from January 1, 2018. The employees will get the enhanced DA from next month and the arrears will also be given. MP Kirron Kher had recently taken up the DA issue with the Administration. —TNS
