Drowning case: 48 hours on, body yet to be traced

FATEHGARH SAHIB:There is no trace of a man, a resident of Mazri village, who was reportedly drowned in the Bhakra main line canal even after 48 hours.

There is no trace of a man, a resident of Mazri village,  who was reportedly drowned in the Bhakra main line canal even after 48 hours.

Giving details, village sarpanch Mastan Singh said clothes and cycle of Mandeep Singh (35), who was reportedly mentally upset, were recovered by his family members from the banks of the canal passing through Ferozepur village.

He said Mandeep was also suffering from fits since childhood. Mastan said Mandeep had left the house at 4.30 pm on Thursday and his clothes and cycle were recovered near the bridge after the family launched a search operation when Mandeep did not return home. — TNS
