Fake IPS officer, accomplice sent to judicial custody

KHARAR: A Kharar court today sent a fake woman IPS officer, Tanishka Sagban, a resident of Basan Kunj, New Delhi, and her accomplice Tarun Sharma, a resident of Kharar, to 14-day judicial custody.

A Kharar court today sent a fake woman IPS officer, Tanishka Sagban, a resident of Basan Kunj, New Delhi, and her accomplice Tarun Sharma, a resident of Kharar, to 14-day judicial custody. They were arrested by the Kharar City police on the charge of fraud.

They had allegedly demanded Rs 20 lakh for a in the Punjab Police or with the Union Government. A case under Sections 170, 419, 420 and 511 of the IPC was registered against them.

The woman had rang up senior officers of the police, demanding a car to go to Sangrur. She was arrested after a trap was laid by the police on Monday night
