Father held for 14-yr-old’s rape

CHANDIGARH:Three days after a 14-year-old girl gave birth to a stillborn baby, the UT police arrested her father on Wednesday night on a charge of raping her.

Three days after a 14-year-old girl gave birth to a stillborn baby, the UT police arrested her father on Wednesday night on a charge of raping her.

The victim, a Class IX student, had complained of stomach pain on May 13 after which her family took her to the GMSH, Sector 16, where she gave birth to a stillborn baby. The police said after investigation it was found that the victim was raped by her father. 

The accused, a labourer, will be produced in the court on Thursday.
