Hit by mobike, labourer dies

CHANDIGARH: A 53-year-old pedestrian was killed after being hit by a speeding motorcycle near the Sector 25/38 light point on Sunday night.

A 53-year-old pedestrian was killed after being hit by a speeding motorcycle near the Sector 25/38 light point on Sunday night. According to the police, the victim has been identified as Digambar Prasad, a resident of Sector 25.

Sources said the victim was going towards his home when a motorcycle heading towards the Sector 25/38 light point hit him.

The motorcycle hit the victim from the rear side, leading to serious injuries. The police were informed after which the victim was rushed to a hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. The victim was a labourer. The motorcyclist has been identified as Piyush (22) of Dadu Majra.
