Patiala: The prestigious Frank Anthony Memorial All-India Inter-School Debate Competition for Category 1, Stage 1 was hosted by The British Co-Ed High School, Patiala.



Patiala: The prestigious Frank Anthony Memorial All-India Inter-School Debate Competition for Category 1, Stage 1 was hosted by The British Co-Ed High School, Patiala. Various schools from Ludhiana, Phagwara, Hoshiarpur, Amritsar and Patiala competed amongst themselves to qualify for Stage 2. The topic for the debate was 'The e-book is here to stay'. Dr SC Sharma and Dr Swaraj Raj, former HoD, Government Mohindra College, Patiala along with school founder Principal Rosa Kucharskyj judged the competition. The debate lasted for two hours. The rebuttal rounds were interesting and displayed vehement conviction skills of the speakers. Yadavindra Public School, Patiala, bagged the winner's trophy whereas Sacred Heart Senior Secondary School, Amritsar, took away the first runner-up award and both schools have qualified for the next round. Both best speakers, Seerat Kaur Puar and Sehaj Noor Singh are from Yadavindra Public, Patiala. School Principal Kiran Harika congratulated the winners.

Special assembly organised

A special assembly was organised at Career Academy to commemorate Indian National Flag Adoption Day on July 29. A documentary explaining the journey of National Flag was shown to Classes VI to X. Students of Classes I to III enthusiastically participated in the Tri-colour Lunch Box Competition. The healthy tricolor delicacies exhibited were a great delight to relish. OC
