The 24th edition of All India JP Atray Memorial Cricket Tournament will be played from February 8 to 15 at different grounds, here. 

According to the organisers, the championship will be conducted at Tau Devi Lal Stadium, Sector 3 Panchkula, Government Model Senior Secondary School, Sector 26, DAV School Sector 8, St John's Public School, Sector 26 Chandigarh and Government College Ground, Ropar.

According to Sushil Kapoor, organising secretary of the tournament, no state teams will be participating due to the ongoing national domestic season. A total of nine clubs and corporate teams will feature in this year's edition. The teams have been divided into two groups and the tournament will be played on league cum knock out basis. The top two teams of each group will play the semifinals and the finals will be played at Tau Devi Lal Cricket Stadium. All the matches will be supervised by the PCA panel scorers and umpires. 

The tournament will be played under the auspices of Punjab Cricket Association and the winners will get a cash prize of Rs 2 lakh along with a trophy. The runners up team will bag a cash prize of Rs 1 lakh and runners up trophy. 

The committee has instituted a special award in the memory of late Sunil Sharma, a founder member of the organisation, to be awarded to the player of the tournament.  

Apart from this, there will be man of the match award for each match and other awards like best bowler, best batsman of the tournament. Vivek Atray, convener of the tournament, wished that the Punjab Cricket Association will include the 25th edition of this prestigious tournament in the annual slot for September, so that the state teams can also participate.
