Local skaters shine

CHANDIGARH:Local players Anikait, Sonakshi, Ananya, Deeshab and Abhiyash were shortlisted to participate in the Roller Skating Nationals, to be held in Vishakhapatnam from December 15 to 23.

Local players Anikait, Sonakshi, Ananya, Deeshab and Abhiyash were shortlisted to participate in the Roller Skating Nationals, to be held in Vishakhapatnam from December 15 to 23. 

All the five players were selected on the basis of their performances in the recently-concluded Chandigarh Roller Skating Championship. During the individual events, Anikait claimed two gold medals, while Krish won one silver medal and one bronze medal.

Sonakshi won two gold medals and one silver medal. Manvi bagged one gold and two silver medals. Lavanya also won one gold and two bronze medals, while Deeshab bagged two gold and two silver medals.

Atharav won two silver and one bronze medals and Raghav won one gold, one silver and one bronze. Hiten won two silver medals and one bronze. Sumit won two silver medals. Ananya won two gold medals and one silver medal. Rishita, Sobia, Abhiyash,  Aryan Manaal, Lakshya, Sophie, Maruth , Tarun, Fateh, Aav, Ayush and Navansh also won medals in different categories. —TNS
