Man stabbed to death

CHANDIGARH:A man was stabbed to death by unidentified miscreants at Vikas Nagar, Mauli Jagran, this evening.

Chandigarh, February 18

A man was stabbed to death by unidentified miscreants at Vikas Nagar, Mauli Jagran, this evening.

Sources said the police received information around 7.30 pm from Amit, a resident of Vikas Nagar, Mauli Jagran, who reported that four persons stabbed the victim,  Laxman, on his head. The incident was reported from near the Vikas Nagar bridge.

Police teams reached the spot. The victim was rushed to the Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), Sector 32, where doctors declared him brought dead.

The police said the victim was a resident of the Housing Board flats, Mauli Jagran.

The police have registered a murder case at the Mauli Jagran police station. The police said efforts were being made to identify the assailants.
