CHANDIGARH:A Mohali resident has been arrested for raping a girl at a hotel in Kajheri, Sector 52.



Chandigarh, January 17

A Mohali resident has been arrested for raping a girl at a hotel in Kajheri, Sector 52.

According to the police, the victim alleged that she had met the accused, Randeep Singh, on Facebook. Both the victim and the accused became friends and started meeting.

The victim alleged that on her birthday, Randeep took her to a hotel in Kajheri on the pretext of celebrating the occasion. She alleged that the accused raped her in the hotel and promised that he would marry her.

The victim alleged that later, the accused backtracked on his promise, following which she approached the police.A case was registered against Randeep Singh and he was arrested. — TNS
