PU prof in FTII Governing Council

CHANDIGARH:Prof Archana R Singh, Chairperson of the School of Communication Studies, Panjab University (PU), has been unanimously selected as a member of the Governing Council and the Academic Council of Film and Television Institute of India (FTII), Pune.



Chandigarh, November 13 

Prof Archana R Singh, Chairperson of the School of Communication Studies, Panjab University (PU), has been unanimously selected as a member of the Governing Council and the Academic Council of Film and Television Institute of India (FTII), Pune. 

She was nominated last month by the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting as a member of the FTII society for three years. 

“Prof Singh has plans for bringing facilities and expertise available in FTII to Chandigarh by forging collaboration between PU and FTII,” PU spokesperson said. 

This is for the first time that any faculty member from the university has been selected for all three bodies of FTII.

In 2016, Prof Singh was nominated as a member of the Indian Institute of Mass Communication (IIMC) Society for a period of two years. She has 20 years of teaching and research experience. — TNS
