Panchkula: A fine bowling performance by Suraj (4/14) helped Narinder Walia Cricket Academy (NWCA) to beat British Cricket Academy by 38 runs and win the Grecobe U-14 Cup at St Soldier’s School, on Wednesday.

Panchkula: A fine bowling performance by Suraj (4/14) helped Narinder Walia Cricket Academy (NWCA) to beat British Cricket Academy by 38 runs and win the Grecobe U-14 Cup at St Soldier’s School, on Wednesday. Batting first, NWCA posted 107 runs before being bowled out in 23 overs. Himanish Kaushal (22), Tushar Sharma (19), Rudra Sethi (17) and Bhavya Kapoor (13) contributed a major share in the team’s win. For the bowling side, Jatin Dhiman (3/11) was the pick of the team while Paras Parihar took 2/13. In reply, British Cricket Academy were bundled out on 69 runs in 21.5 overs. Joravar Singh (15) was the only main scorer for the side. Suraj and Paras Kumar (3/15) claimed wickets. Suraj was adjudged Man of the Match. Tanmay Latka (151 runs and eight wickets) was named Player of the Tournament and Tushar Sharma (216 runs) was adjudged the Best Batsman.  

CRB-7 organises sports meet 

Chandigarh: CRB Public School, Sector 7B, organised its annual sports meet at the Sector 7 Sports Complex, on Wednesday. Events including, hoopla race, ready to school race, obstacle race, hurdle race, 100m and 200m events were organised.—TNS
