Poor performance by P’kula continues

PANCHKULA: After poor show in Class XII exams, poor show by Panchkula district continues in Haryana Board of School Education (HBSE) Class X examination, results of which were declared today.

Panchkula, May 22

After poor show in Class XII exams, poor show by Panchkula district continues in Haryana Board of School Education (HBSE) Class X examination, results of which were declared today.

As many as 54.19 per cent students from Panchkula district were not able to clear the exams. The pass percentage of the district is 45.81 per cent, which is still better than the last year’s pass percentage, which was 39.43 per cent.

As many as 4,364 students (2,265 boys and 2,099 girls) had appeared for the exams from Panchkula district this year. Of this, only 1,999 (894 boys and 1105 girls) students passed the exams. As many as 216 students got compartment, while 2,149 students failed to clear the exam.

The pass percentage of boys was 39.47 per cent, whereas it was 52.24 per cent for girls.
