Mohali, December 17

Finally, the repair work on two damaged patches on the Lakhnaur-Landran road started today. The damaged portions of the road are being repaired with paver blocks.

NS Walia, Executive Engineer of Public Works Department, said it would cost around Rs 50 lakh to repair the two patches. “We have decided to fix paver blocks on the patches as rainwater used to damage the road at the spots earlier. With installation of paver blocks, the problem would be addressed,” said Walia.

Notably, the road has been closed till December 23 for repairs.

Walia said the project of widening the entire stretch from Lakhnaur to the Landran T-point would take place soon.
