Ruchika’s friend stages protest

Panchkula:  Ruchika Girhotra’s childhood friend Aradhna Gupta and members of the Anand Prakash Smriti Sabha on Thursday held a protest at the Mini-Secretariat in Sector 1, Panchkula. They sought an apology from the district administration for the presence of convicted former Haryana DGP SPS Rathore at the Republic Day function in Panchkula. Earlier, they met city magistrate Mamta Sharma. Sharma said the matter was already in the knowledge of the state government. "The district administration had even written to the statement government for guidance and instructions so that such incident should not happen in future," Sharma said. The Anand Prakash Smriti Sabha also started an online signature campaign on this issue. TNS
