A fancy dress competition was organised for students of LKG in Satluj Public School, Sector 2, Panchkula. The students performed on the theme "community helpers". They came dressed as engineers, captains, policemen, teachers, waiters, painters etc and emphasised upon their need in making our lives easier. TNS
DC Montessori, Mani majra
Rail Vikas Nigam Limited observed a Vigilance Programme at DC Montessori School. Students from different classes participated in slogan writing on the topic, 'Integrity, Deed of the Day'. The winners were given cash rewards by the department. Namisha of Class VIII won a cash prize of Rs 3000, Shivangi of Class VIII won Rs 2000 and at the third position was bagged by Tanisha. She received a cash reward of Rs 1000. Five students were given consolation prizes of Rs 200 each.
St Xavier's International, Zirakpur
Students of St Xavier's International, Zirakpur, enacted a sublime spectacle to highlight the issue of 'Save the Girl child'. They were educated about the evil of female foeticide and to educate the girl child.
DAV Police Public, Panchkula
An awareness campaign on solid waste management was organised at the school. During the campaign, the students were guided about the life cycle of solid waste management. The campaign also witnessed segregation of solid and dry waste by the students. This was followed with compost-making with the help of biodegradable material.
St Joseph's, Sector 44, Chandigarh
A Hindi recitation competition was organised for KG students at St Joseph's, Sector 44-D, Chandigarh. They came up with wonderful rhymes based on different themes. Attractive props, appropriate actions and facial expressions made their performance quite impressive. The contest culminated with the distribution of certificates to the winners and gifts to all the participants, who initiated to come forward and display their oratory skills.
Mount Carmel, Mohali
Students participated in the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan organised by Genius Public School, Solkhian, at Roop Nagar. The activity was conducted under the hub of learning programme. As many as 200 students participated in this rally.

A display board was decorated and a lecture was given by Dr Jotinder Mander regarding Mental Health and Mental Hygiene awareness to mark the Mental Health Day. The essence of the lecture was that peaceful mind leads to a peaceful life.
