Ashiana Public School, Sector 46, Chandigarh, held its sports fiesta, wherein more than 600 students of Classes I to V participated. The event began with the recitation of ‘Gayatri Mantra’, followed by an array of events such as aerobics, zumba, physical training and yoga. Students also competed in various track and field events. Director Lalita Prakash and Principal Monika Sharma congratulated the students.

Shemford Futuristic, Pinjore

The newly developed adventure court at Shemford Futuristic School, Pinjore, was inaugurated by RC Mishra, IPS, ADGP-cum-Commissioner Police, Ambala. The adventure court includes Burma bridge, commando net, rope gliding, spider web, tyre wall, tyre tunnel, zip line, parallel balance beam and much more. 

Govt Girls, Mullanpur

Government Girls High School, Mullanpur, organised its annual function. The annual report of the school was presented. Students, who performed well in science, maths, drawing, sports and languages, were felicitated. Later, they presented gidda, patriotic songs, dance, play on literacy and several other items. 

Shemrock School, Mohali 

Shemrock School, Sector 69-A, organised a good luck party for students of Class X. Students presented various cultural items such as bhangra, gidda, skit and a western dance. An exciting round of musical chair and other games were also organised. Chairman JS Bajwa wished the students luck and asked them to work hard to shine in their life for their exams.

Mount Litera, Panchkula

Mount Litera Zee School, Panchkula, organised an educational trip to Chattbir Zoo. Students were delighted to see white tigers, leopards, elephants and monkeys. What particularly caught their fancy was the bird aviary where they got a chance to see white peacocks, ducks and cranes. 

Learning Paths, Mohali

Students of Class VII-D of Learning Paths School, Mohali, presented a special assembly about the Ganga river. They highlighted the relevance of the river. The assembly aimed at sensitising the audience towards the appalling condition of the river. Later, the students urged their peers to take responsibility of protecting and keeping the rivers clean.

DAV-8, Panchkula 

Tina, a Class I student of DAV School, Sector 8, Panchkula, was declared a show stopper by India Rising Kidz, a npted production house and the top model. Besides, she also won the ‘Cute Face’ title.

St Joseph’s, Chandigarh

Students of St Joseph’s Senior Secondary School, Sector 44-D, Chandigarh, have achieved 33 merit positions in Theatre for Theatre Festival. The competition was segregated in three categories — creative writing, painting and ‘nukkad natak’. The management and Principal Monica Chawla appreciated their efforts and urged the students to keep participating in such activities as these enhanced their personality.
