Chandigarh, October 11

Traders of the Sector 19 Sadar Bazaar today blocked a road in protest against illegal occupation of the parking lot in the market by vendors.

The protesters demanded that vendors, who have encroached on the space meant for parking, be removed. They blocked the Sector 27 road to press for their demand.

NS Rinku, a protester, said vendors were occupying the parking lot illegally, making it difficult for the visitors to park vehicles. He said lack of parking space was badly affecting traders’ business.
