Six robbers including four with covered faces entered hut of Mohammad Hanif, a farm contractor, and took away Rs 40,000 in cash and some gold ornaments in Packi Rurki village on the Kharar Morinda road on Thursday night.
Hanif, who originally belongs to Uttrakhand, told the police that he along with his family was staying in a hut on the farm of a farmer. He had taken four acres of agricultural land on rent from the farmer. Hanif said when he was sleeping with his family at about 12.30 am six robbers came and knocked at the door of the hut. When Hanif opened the door he saw six robbers, including four with covered faces. They forcibly took away Rs 40,000 in cash and some gold ornaments from the hut.
They also threatened the family and ran away. The Gharuan police have registered a case under Sections 457 and 380, IPC, and started an investigation.
