Sports Club defeat Youth Spikers

CHANDIGARH:Sports Club (Sector 42) defeated Youth Spikers Club (Sector 28) in straight sets 25-09 25-12 25-11 in the boys' junior opening match during the Chandigarh State Junior Volleyball Championship, organised in meomory of Kamal Sharma, former president, Chandigarh Volleyball Association.

Chandigarh, December 1 

Sports Club (Sector 42) defeated Youth Spikers Club (Sector 28) in straight sets 25-09 25-12 25-11 in the boys' junior opening match during the Chandigarh State Junior Volleyball Championship, organised in meomory of Kamal Sharma, former president, Chandigarh Volleyball Association. 

Panjab University Campus won the second match by defeating Vivek High School (Sector 38) 25-15 25-18 25-17, while Star Club (Sector 46) overpowered Hospetic Club 25-19 25-17 25-13. 

GMSSS (Sector 26) also marched ahead by defeating Eagle Club 25-10 25-15 25-14 and DAV Club (Sector 8) won the last match by defeating Sports Complex (Sector 42) 25-18 25-17 25-20. 

In the girls' category, the Sector 26 team won the opener by defeating GMSS (Sector 56) 25-9 25-8 25-12. Star Club (Sector 46) easily overpowered Sports Club (Sector 7) 25-14 25-12 25-18 and Sports Complex (Sector 7) recorded a 18-25 25-16 25-20 25-13 win over Star Club. —TNS
