Stir against Unnao, Kathua rapes

PATIALA:Students of the Government College for Girls in the city held a protest against the Union Government in solidarity with rape victims of Unnao and Kathua.

Patiala, April 18

Students of the Government College for Girls in the city held a protest against the Union Government in solidarity with rape victims of Unnao and Kathua. 

A number of students, accompanied by their teachers, held a rally on the college campus.

College Principal Dr Chiranjeev Kaur said, “More than 500 college students held a protest. 

Twenty teachers of the college also joined them. Some students wanted to hold the protest outside the college as well, which we did not allow.”

The college students held posters and placards, raising slogans against the government for adopting a lax attitude towards the accused.
