The Tripuri police have registered a case pertaining to gang rape and procuration of minor girl under relevant sections of the IPC and the POCSO Act, 2012, against three local residents after a 17-year-old-minor girl alleged rape. The police said Yogesh Kumar of Baba Deep Singh Nagar, had promised to provide a job to the victim and took her on his motorcycle to an unknown location near the Barhi Nadi area.
The FIR stated that the accused and his two accomplices, gave the victim a soft drink laced with sedatives and allegedly raped her. The other two accused have been identified as Gurpreet Singh of Bajwa Colony and Himsanshu of New Bishan Singh Nagar. — TNS
