Mohali, November 13

A local court today awarded 20-year jail term to two persons in a case of minor’s rape. A fine of Rs 16,000 has also been imposed on the convicts.

Pratap Gautam and Sushil Kumar, the convicts who were natives of Uttar Pradesh, were staying at Mubarakpur, Dera Bassi, at the time of the incident.

According to the police, the duo had allegedly kept a 16-year-old girl in their captivity and repeatedly raped her.

A case in this regard was registered against them at the Dera Bassi police station on October 21 last year.
