Two booked for causing death by negligence

CHANDIGARH: Three days after a 22-year-old daily wager died from electrocution, the Chandigarh Police booked have booked a contractor and an engineer for causing death by negligence under Section 304-A of the IPC.

Three days after a 22-year-old daily wager died from electrocution, the Chandigarh Police booked have  booked a contractor and an engineer for causing death by negligence under Section 304-A of the IPC.  The victim, identified as Mithu Mandal, was electrocuted while working near a government school in Raipur Kalan. The victim was rushed to the Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), Sector 32, where doctors declared him brought dead.  It has been alleged that the victim had raised the possibility of getting electrocuted with contractor Rahul Kohli and engineer Jai Dev several times but they did not take necessary action.—TNS
