Two women held for duping man of Rs 30,000

NABHA:The Bhadson police have arrested two women for duping a man, Jagdeep Singh (35), a Khanna resident of Rs 30,000 after befriending him on August 11.

The Bhadson police have arrested two women for duping a man, Jagdeep Singh (35), a Khanna resident of Rs 30,000 after befriending him on August 11. 

Jagdeep Singh, who is a native of Ambala and presently residing in Khanna, in his complaint to the police, said, the accused had thrashed him and snatched his ATM and mobile. He said that he came in contact with Narinder Kaur alias Ramanjot Kaur (23) of Bhadson through a friend and they were talking on phone for some time. He said Narinder Kaur had invited him to meet her at her house in Bhadson where another woman later identified as Charanjit Kaur (35) and three men thrashed him. 

Now, the police have arrested Narinder Kaur and Charanjit Kaur, while others are absconding. The police have recovered the belongings from the arrested accused. 

Bhadson SHO Harmanpreet Singh Cheema, said, during preliminary investigations the accused women revealed that they were part of the six-member gang and had carried out such crimes with many men earlier also. He said another woman, Jeet Kaur, a resident of Gobindgarh, was also part of their gang who would befriend men on social media. The other victims may not have reported the matter to police due to social stigma, he added.  The accused youth have been identified as Neeraj (17), Kaku (18) and Kuldeep Singh (18). All six accused have been booked under Sections 384, 420, 342, 120-B of the IPC. — TNS
