UT employees meet Adviser over demands

CHANDIGARH: A delegation of the Coordination Committee of Government and MC Employees and Workers, Chandigarh, along with a leader of Chandigarh Transport Workers’ Union, today met UT Adviser Manoj Parida and submitted a demand charter regarding extending the policy of regularisation of daily wage and work-charged employees working under various departments in Chandigarh.

Chandigarh, August 19 

A delegation of the Coordination Committee of Government and MC Employees and Workers, Chandigarh, along with a leader of Chandigarh Transport Workers’ Union, today met UT Adviser Manoj Parida and submitted a demand charter regarding extending the policy of regularisation of daily wage and work-charged employees working under various departments in Chandigarh.

Ashwini Kumar, convener of the committee, said the delegation told the Adviser that the administration had framed a policy of regularisation of daily wage workers on March 13, 2015, working under various departments, but some employees working under the CTU Engineering Department and MC were not covered in the policy. The Adviser told the delegation that the case regarding extending the policy had been sent to the Personnel Department. — TNS
