Varsity global alumni meet on November 28

CHANDIGARH: The Panjab University Alumni Association (PUAA) is hosting the first two-day annual global alumni meet on November 28 at PU Law Auditorium, according to Prof Raj Kumar, Vice-Chancellor, PU.

The Panjab University Alumni Association (PUAA) is hosting the first two-day annual global alumni meet on November 28 at PU Law Auditorium, according to Prof Raj Kumar, Vice-Chancellor, PU.

The guests of honour for the event would be Sunil Arora, Chief Election Commissioner of India, and Mia Yen, Consul General of Canada in Chandigarh. The event will feature academic interactions, apart from cultural programmes and award ceremonies.

The Panjab University VC said a few alumni members will be taken to their hostels on a nostalgic trip. Also, 21 distinguished alumni are shortlisted to be honoured at the event. The VC said 200 confirmations, with families, have been received from India and seven other countries, including US, UK, Canada, Philippines, Singapore, Japan and Afghanistan.

  • An exhibition to commemorate 150 years of Mahatma Gandhi, which will be inaugurated on November 25
  • An alumni corridor is planned from Gandhi Bhawan to Law Auditorium for the two days.
