Workshop on solid waste management

The National Institute of Urban Affairs, in collaboration with the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs and Feedback Foundation, Gurugram, organised a workshop on implementation of solid waste management here on Tuesday. 

Harpreet Singh Sudan, chief administrator, PDA, said MC officials and committees should work to implement the solid waste management programme in their areas.

Jiwanjot Kaur, deputy director, local government,  said, “The officials concerned should implement measures of solid waste management and ensure better participation in the Swachh Survekshan 2019.”

MC officials were informed about the solid waste management programme, management of garbage, e-waste and bio-waste. The workshop will continue till Thursday.
