7 held for snatching mobiles to impress girlfriends

NEW DELHI:To impress their girlfriends and celebrate New Year outside Delhi, seven persons — Imran (25), Vikas (23), Nitin (22), Nasim (37), Naveen (26) Dharmender (22) and Dheeraj (25), who resorted to snatching and robbery, have been arrested, police said.

To impress their girlfriends and celebrate New Year outside Delhi, seven persons — Imran (25), Vikas (23), Nitin (22), Nasim (37), Naveen (26) Dharmender (22) and Dheeraj (25), who resorted to snatching and robbery, have been arrested, police said.

With their arrest, police claim to have solved 44 cases and recovered six stolen luxury motorcycles, two scooters, 28 snatched mobiles from their possession.

Acting on a tip-off on Thursday, police laid a trap near Peeragarhi Metro Station and arrested three accused who arrived at the spot on a motorcycle. From them, 17  mobiles were recovered. — TNS
