In solidarity with West Bengal doctors, who were attacked on Thursday, resident doctors of AIIMS will go on strike on Friday.
“The situation in West Bengal is worsening and there is a complete breakdown of law and order with the reports of mobs vandalising doctors’ hostels,” said a statement issued by the Resident Doctor’s Association, AIIMS.
The association condemned the attacks on the doctors. The emergency services will function normally as the resident doctors will continue to work as per schedule. The OPD services will function on a restricted basis, the statement said.
The association urged the doctors across the country to join the one-day strike.
