New Delhi, October 13

The Delhi BJP today demanded dismissal of Delhi Transport Minister Kailash Gahlot following Income Tax raid on alleged charges of tax evasion etc.

Manoj Tiwari, president of Delhi unit of the BJP said that Gahlot is not the first minister in AAP government against whom investigating agencies have taken action.

Earlier, official and residential premises of Health Minister Satyendra Jain were also searched by the security agency. Corruption case is also against ex-Minister Asim Ahmed Khan.

He said that tales of Gahlot’s unaccounted trade are too wide but at close examination, it was found that the modus operandi of alleged tax evasion was similar to that of allegations of Jain.

Tiwari said that the income tax scam connected with Gahlot could be compared with the case of tax evasion by tax mafias.

He also said that before coming to power, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal talked about high moral values and always said in his election speeches that he would not allow corrupt persons to be the members of assembly. However, it was an irony that after becoming the chief minister, when firstly, Khan was accused of corruption, he did not take any action against him, only removed him from the cabinet.

In the case of Jain, it has become clear that he was suspected to be involved in Hawala trade but Kejriwal had not taken any action against him till date.
