The Patiala House court asked the Deputy Commissioner of Police, New Delhi District, Madhur Verma to appear in person before the Metropolitan Magistrate Court for “lack of action” in the allegations of financial irregularities levelled against the Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee (DSGMC) president, Manjit Singh GK, and others, including general manager Harjeet Singh Subedar.

The Metropolitan Magistrate in the Patiala House court, Vijaita Singh, after hearing arguments from counsel of complainant Gurmeet Singh Shanty, independent member of the DSGMC and respondent general manager of the gurdwara committee Harjeet Singh Subedar asked the DCP to appear in person before the court tomorrow.

Harjeet Singh submitted before the court that allegations of irregularities of Rs 51 lakh were not based on facts. This amount was given to Damdama Taksal for 'kar sewa'.

The Metropolitan Magistrate also asked that neither the complainant nor the respondent would upload any post in connection with case on social media. If anybody does this, the court will take action against him.

When counsel of Harjeet Singh said all the receipts submitted before the court levelling allegations of financial irregularities in the gurdwara committee and CD of Shanty in connection with the case, the Metropolitan Magistrate watched the video and questioned him for uploading the video on social media while the case is still sub judice.

Gurmeet Singh Shanty had lodged a complaint at the North Avenue Police Station against alleged financial irregularities in the DSGMC. He approached the court for getting lodged the FIR against the DSGMC president and others.
