In the wake of shocking case of infant deaths in Uttar Pradesh government-run hospital, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has called a review meeting with the health officials to take stock of health facilities in the national Capital.
“The Chief Minister will review the situation in the government hospitals in the city on August 16. The meeting will be attended by medical superintendents of state government-run hospitals and senior health department officials.
The medical superintendents have been asked to prepare status reports on stock of medicines, diagnostic equipment ahead of the review meeting being held in the backdrop of the disturbing deaths of infants at a medical college in Gorakhpur.
At least 30 infants died in a span of 48 hours since August 10 at the Baba Raghav Das Medical College at Gorakhpur and the deaths have been linked to shortage in supply of liquid oxygen due to the delay in payment to the supplier.
