NEW DELHI:In a recent incident of online fraud, a youth was cheated of Rs 10,000, through Paytm.

New Delhi, August 13

In a recent incident of online fraud, a youth was cheated of Rs 10,000, through Paytm.

According to the complaint filed by the victim, his maternal uncle Manish Jain had dealt with a person Jagdish, through OLX on Monday for selling his old television for Rs 2,300.

Manish asked Jagdish to pay the money in cash but he insisted to pay money through Paytm, the complaint said. 

The accused trapped the victim saying that he had a mercahant account and asked him to make the transaction as per his instructions and duped of Rs 10,000. On being contacted he said they could report the matter to the police, the complaint said. The police are investigating the matter. — TNS
