New Delhi, February 7

Representatives of 65 Resident Welfare Associations (RWAs) from various areas of city met BJP state president Manoj Tiwari and discussed their problems of power and water supply.

The RWA office-bearers also discussed about the undue recovery of power charges at commercial rates for the use of water booster motors by the group housing societies and running parallel RWAs by the local MLAs at many places.

Tiwari assured the RWAs that the party was sensitive towards their concerns and he was working to ensure that further commercial construction did not take place in residential areas and in the area falling under mixed land use the residents did not face problems of electricity, water and sewer.

He said the party would pressurise the government to charge power at residential rates for the water booster motors and would also oppose the parallel RWAs by the ruling party MLAs.
