Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee (DSGMC) president and national spokesperson for the Shiromani Akali Dal (Badal) Manjinder Singh Sirsa said Congress general secretary Priyanka Gandhi in her emotional speeches cannot hide the sins committed by her grandmother Indira Gandhi and father Rajiv Gandhi.

Sirsa said Sikhs can neither forget nor forgive Indira Gandhi for alleged attack on Akal Takhat Sahib and demolished many gurdwaras.

He said Priyanka, who claimed to be a daughter-in-law of Punjab, cannot blackmail people emotionally. How people can forget the mass killing of Sikhs in 1984 in which allegedly senior Congress leaders were involved. Thousands of Sikhs were burnt to death by throwing burning tyres around their neck.

Priyanka should understand that wounds of the Sikhs are still as it was in 1984. If she actually wants to apply ointment and plaster the wounds, she should oust Jagdish Tytler from the party. She should also ask the agencies concerned to take action against him on alleged charges of 1984 riots.

She cannot make people fool chanting slogans of 'Jo Bole So Nihal', he said.

The DSGMC president said on the other hand, Captain Amrinder Singh could not divert the attention of Punjabis from his failure of fulfilling the promises made during the assembly elections. He is raising Guru Granth Sahib sacrilege issue for political gains.

Sirsa said now people had understood his intention.

Sirsa warned Captain saying that if he had evidence against Akali Dal leaders for their involvement in sacrilege incident, he should put forward. If he does not have evidence, he should restrain making people fool and avoid doing politics on sacrilege.
